About The Blog

A LIFE OF TRAVEL, THEATER AND GLOBAL CURIOSITY INSPIRES whereiscookie

LOOK TO www.whereiscookie.com for stories about travel, with our specialties, cruising and the arts.
That's the thrust of the blog and website. We love ships and have taken well over 100 cruises worldwide. We also write about sailing, emphasizing San Diego, where we're based half the year.
We have stories on adventure, road trips, hotels we've enjoyed, and viewing the natural world.
Christene Meyers and Bruce Keller traveled to Hollywood
to rewrite and edit "Lilian's Last Dance," now out in paperback.
AS LIFELONG ARTS buffs, our blog also contains a regular offering of pieces on current theater, film, the arts, books and concerts.  You'll find plenty of lively arts and entertainment reading here.
IF YOU'D LIKE a good read that weaves all our interests together, check out our other blog,  www.lilianslastdance.com, inspired by our novel, "Lilian's Last Dance."
You'll find lively stories about the history and research of the book, set over a century ago at the cusp of the silents-to-talkies movie business.  The inspiration for this show-biz story was Christene's grandmother, Olive, and her Vaudeville career.
Follow the progress of the readings (47 and counting) and plans for a second edition and musical version. We're planning readings in Asia in 2016, in just weeks, and had wonderful readings in Europe.

  1. Great to see you, Chris! It's been a few decades since those profound days when Bruce guided me through the creative writing process in college and tutored this aspiring stage performer in Man of La Mancha and Our Town, and learning from your encouraging words in the theatre reviews in the old Gazette. I continue to dream the Impossible Dream and see that you do as well. I look forward to following "Cookie".
